Be happy whatever the circumstances - with Eastern Philosophy and Meditation
Eastern philosophy and meditation can help you gain the ultimate freedom - freedom from oneself.
Imagine – if you will – for a moment that you are in prison. You are woken up at 5 in the morning (whether you want to get up of not), you have no control over your meals – you have to eat whatever is given to you and you are stuck in a prison cell all day and night.
What does this have to do with Eastern philosophy and meditation - please read on.
Ignoring the ignominy, the humiliation of being in such a position, the essence of the hardship that you are being subjected to is that your freedom is restricted. You cannot go for a walk when you please, in the evening to admire the sunset, you cannot have a cup of coffee at Starbucks or Barista whenever you feel like it, you cannot socialize with your friends and family when you want, and you cannot work at your job or business. And any number of more such restrictions, loss of freedoms. I have never been to prison and had my freedoms taken away by society but there is one prison that still restricts my freedom
and yours as well. And that is the prison of the self – the separate ego – that keeps me separate from the rest of existence, from the rest of the Universe. It keeps me from
knowing my true nature, it keeps me from realizing that the Universe and I are one and not separate, that I am the Universe (or as is said in Hindu Philosophy – AHAM
BRAHMASMI – I am Brahma).
This is my understanding of the message of eastern philosophy and meditation - freedom from yourself and knowing that you are one with the Ultimate.
This promise of freedom from the self – or the ego separate from the rest of existence – is what draws me, and many others to eastern philosophy and meditation. Let me be frank – I am not enlightened, not a guru, I have not achieved this goal as yet. But I have taken the first steps towards this goal and am already enjoying many benefits. In this site I will be your guide and will explain the concepts of eastern philosophy and meditation (as best I understand them) and the techniques of present moment awareness. The benefits of practicing these techniques are immediate, HERE AND NOW, and available in stages so you do not have to wait for that distant point in the future when your self is dissolved and you are fully enlightened. Let us talk of the benefits.
* You will be free from past conditioning. Past memories, emotional traumas and the
like will no longer have a hold over you. You will be free to enjoy the present moment,
the HERE AND NOW.
* You will not let your hopes and fears for the future run your life.
* In other words, you will live your life in the present, in the Here and Now. If you think
of it there is really no Past and no Future. What we imagine to be the past is really
memories recorded in the synapses and neuron of our brain cells. And the future is no
more than our daydreams, hopes and fears, which is also no more than brain activity or
conceptualization. The present moment, the Here and Now, is all that there is and is the
only place where we can live our lives.
* You will be free, or at least freer than earlier, of negative emotions such as worry,
fear, anger, depression and the like. If you practice the techniques of eastern philosophy and meditation that I will be
explaining, you will be easily able to manage your emotions and gradually become free
of them.
* You will be able to run your mind instead of your mind running you.
* You will be in a better position to attain your goals, succeed in your ventures, and
have better relationships. By freeing yourself of mental clutter and noise, you will be able
to break through the limitations that you have imposed on yourself.
* You will be more original, more creative, and more effective in your thinking. Dr.
Win Wenger P. HD – in his book the Einstein Factor – says that only when we shift our
attention from what we know to what we actually perceive, are most problems solved.
These techniques will help you to think without preconceiving and will lead you to think
more effectively.
All these benefits are yours by following the techniques presented in the website and
